Hydraulic Breaker Bolts: Functions, Types, and Importance in Equipment Operation
The hydraulic breaker hammer commonly uses various high-strength bolts including through-body bolts, clamp bolts, accumulator fastening bolts, and external reversing valve mounting bolts. This article provides a detailed analysis of their functions:
Through-Body Bolts
Made of 12.9-grade alloy structural steel, these bolts secure the upper, middle, and lower cylinders of the breaker. Loose or broken bolts can cause piston/cylinder misalignment during operation, leading to cylinder scoring. The high-performance alloy steel offers superior elongation and yield strength compared to carbon steel, maintaining toughness under high-intensity working conditions.

Clamp Bolts
Constructed from 10.9-grade alloy steel, these fix the breaker's outer casing to its core components. Unsecured bolts create excessive stress between casing bore and inner lining, causing accelerated wear that may render the casing unusable.
Accumulator & Reversing Valve Bolts
Special bolts used in high-vibration areas require heat-resistant materials with high toughness. Despite their small size (e.g., accumulator base bolts), they bear 30-40kg loads plus operational vibrations. The 12.9-grade specification ensures reliability despite minimal fastening points.
Understanding these critical components enables more effective equipment operation and maintenance. Proper bolt selection and inspection are essential for hydraulic breaker performance and service life.
