Understanding Hydraulic Breaker Oil Leakage: Causes and Solutions
Hydraulic breakers play a crucial role in various operations, facilitating tasks through reciprocating and impact movements. However, it's not uncommon for users to encounter oil leakage issues with hydraulic breakers, prompting questions about the underlying reasons behind this occurrence.
Let's delve into this matter today and provide some insights that may guide your work effectively.

Hydraulic breaker cylinder assembly
Typically, oil leakage in hydraulic breakers can be attributed to several key factors:
Low-pressure Leakage: Oil leakage might occur under low pressure but not under high pressure. This is often due to surface roughness during assembly. Improving the surface roughness to 3.2~6.3umry and using slightly softer sealing components can address this issue effectively.
Temperature Sensitivity: If oil leakage happens at low temperatures but not at high temperatures, two common reasons could be excessive eccentricity or the choice of sealing material.
Piston Rod Oil Ring Expansion: In instances where the piston rod oil ring expands, causing oil drips during each stroke, it is likely due to the lip of the dust seal scraping off the oil film. In such cases, changing the dust seal type is necessary.
These points highlight the primary reasons behind hydraulic breaker oil leakage. Should you have further queries or encounter related issues, feel free to reach out for expert advice and assistance.
